With the advancement of activities of the Union, the aim of supporting data base management system with regard to milk societies and its members, and, various schemes of the Union and procurement of increasing milk supply and increasing sale of milk and milk products; to cover all such activities under automation and computerization, render services more effective, accurate, simple and speedy, so that decision can be taken based on future planning and present situation, thus we can achieve progress in all directions through perfect centralization and decentralization of organizational information by means of data base on line system, wireless system, e-mail and internet  connectivity, a system has been developed wherein to have major coverage of information technology at village level, union level and consumer level.

Information System department has accomplished set up of new Database server, File server and Mail server has been made keeping into consideration future data growth. The risk of server problem leading to hindrance in daily activities has been solved. In short to match with the timely requirement, all applications and data base of the Union have been upgraded into “Oracle:9i”. Network has been made safe with “Firewall” to protect against data loss against virus.

A Surveillance system has been activated by installing internet protocol cameras to have close watch of various activities from one place only, so that instruction or information can be issued on line.

In view of supporting data exchange through internet with regard to Fertility Improvement Programme, and since this matter is being performed from Chalthan, Bajipura and Navipardi, hence internet facility of 512 KBPS has been developed at these three centers, and of 1 MBPS at the headquarter; thus data exchange system do not get any difficulty. 

Surat District Co-operative Milk Producers union Limited has unified all the activities with each other by complete computerization which has simplified all elements of accounting, marketing, quality and consumer elated matter, thus assess any information instantly and easily. In this age of Information Technology, business related information and day to day information has become feasible at least cost. Software has been developed for linking all activities with services like veterinary and artificial insemination. With the development of this software, advance planning with regard to all factors affecting animal care, like classification of diseases and definite actions to overcome the same, and, help maintain inventory control of health protective medicines. In addition, with the development of the software, detailed information related to animal reproduction can be obtained easily.

Sumul dairy and its all units are connected through wireless system and leased cable line, in order that internal data exchange between centers and the headquarter befalls perceptible online accurately and timely.

Server and Network Switch of the IT section at Sumul dairy which need to be kept ‘ON’ continuously; a Data Center has been developed to provide necessary climate to all these equipments, , and, all these key equipments are safe, thanks to this facility.
