Milk Procurement has registered a rise of 16.25% during the year 2008-09 as compared to the year 2007-08. Cow milk has realized a rise of 25.29% whereas buffaloe milk has recorded 6.66% rise.

Milk procurement during the year is 28,28,70,876 kg. Bulk Chilling Units commissioned at the village level and speedy transport arrangement has helped control over sour milk; the benefit of the same could be given to producers. We could pay Rs.318-00 as against Rs.295-00 paid every kilo-fat previous year, which accounts to 7.80 % higher than previous year.
