Out of important subject of profitable animal husbandry practices to follow first calving at early age & make the importance of the same understood our financially backward milk producers, union had implemented NECO project since 2006-2007 under elite herd scheme. During that year 22000 Cow / Buffalo heifers were registered & all were given fertility kit in which 81.1% heifers became pregnant. By the success of this scheme we get inspired to start new NECO animal project being implemented from August, 2010 in which 48396 Cow/Buffalo heifers were registered out of which 82% cow/buffalo heifers became pregnant by the success of the programer & Under NECO – 3 project 57655 cow/buffalo heifers were registered out which 79% cow/buffalo heifers became pregnant by the success of the programer.
