New Projects

NEW PROJECTS & EXPANSION ACTIVITIES:

By the Surat-Tapi District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., Sumul Dairy Surat, the activities of milk procurement and milk distribution are increasing continuously; to accelerate milk processing and to introduce new products in the market and to increase handling capacity of the plant, milk/butter milk/products, by the use of machineries with well advanced technology, the expansion work in phase manners done in different departments. Details are in short as follows.

  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, in the Sweet Department, a New Penda Forming Machine and a KajuKatri Sheeting Cum Cutting Machine have been installed and commissioned.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a water softening plant with a capacity of 50 cubic meters per hour has been installed and commissioned in the water supply system.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a Sanjeevani Milk Pasteurizer with a capacity of 5,000 liters per hour has been installed and commissioned.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a 10,000-liter-per-hour RO plant for the boiler section has been installed and commissioned.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a cold storage facility with a 100-ton capacity has been installed on the ground floor of a new store building for the storage of sweets.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a cold storage unit has been installed and operationalized in the APS Building for the storage of laboratory control samples.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, an order has been placed for the purchase of a new continuous single-line linear curd filling machine with a capacity of 9,000 cups per hour for the Curd Department. The machine will be installed and operational soon.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, a new ground + 3 floor building has been constructed for the storage of packing materials of various by milk products like Curd, Paneer, Sweets, Ghee etc., as their sales is increasing.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of Sumul Dairy Surat Union, in order to meet the federation's demand for the production of table butter, a second cannon, a salt dosing system, and a color dosing system were installed and commissioned in the "Simon" French-made Continuous Butter Making Machine.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, two machines from Benheel Germany for packing table butter in 100 and 500 grams have been installed and are currently in the process of being commissioned. This will facilitate the supply of 100-gram and 500-gram table butter under the Amul brand, in accordance with the federation's requirements.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of Sumul Dairy Surat Union, in accordance with the letter from the Federation and under the Government of India's P.L.I. Scheme-1, the capacity of the ice cream plant has been increased from 20,000 to 50,000 liters. This involved the installation of necessary civil works and machinery, which are now operational. This expansion will enable us to increase ice cream production capacity, ensuring that we can supply ice cream to the federation according to their requirements.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, in alignment with the Federation's directive and the Government of India's PLI under Scheme-2, the ice cream plant's capacity is set to increase from 50,000 liters to 1 lakh liters per day. This expansion will be realized through the installation of the necessary infrastructure and machinery, and it is expected to become operational within a short period. This expansion is anticipated to double the turnover of the ice cream plant, resulting in an increase in income for the society's members.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, orders have been placed for the purchase of the necessary machinery to manufacture wafer cones, in accordance with the Federation's letter. This machinery will be installed and operational by the end of 2023. The produced cones can be put to use, and any excess cones can be distributed to various unions as per the federation's requirements.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an Effluent Treatment Plant with a capacity of 15 lakh liters has been installed, and trials have commenced.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, a new parlour is soon to become operational. It will be situated on New Pardi Road with the aim of boosting the sale of Sumul products.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, the construction of a powder godown with a capacity of approximately 3,000 metric tons has been completed and is now operational.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an approximately 4,000 MT butter godown has been completed, along with the installation of refrigeration machinery and puff panels for deep cold refrigeration utility. One deep freeze butter cold room is already operational, and another will be soon.
  • At NaviPardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, the Liquid Milk Processing Plant is currently operational with a capacity of 3,50,000 LPD. This operation involves the separation of cream and skim milk from milk. The skim milk is directed to the powder plant, while the cream is supplied to the Ice Cream Plant. The excess cream is utilized in the production of white butter. This efficient process has led to a reduction in transportation costs and a decrease in the overall load of liquid milk processing in Surat.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, orders have been placed to install rooftop solar power systems ranging from 6 kilowatts to 30 kilowatts, in accordance with the society's needs. This installation is expected to be completed within approximately three months from the time of ordering. Furthermore, technical planning for the installation of ground-mounted solar power plants, in compliance with Solar Policy-2021, is underway for Sumul Dairy Surat, NaviPardi Dairy, T.H.R Plant, and Sumul Dan Factory Bajipura.
