NEW PROJECTS & EXPANSION ACTIVITIES:

By the Surat-Tapi District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., Sumul Dairy Surat, the activities of milk procurement and milk distribution are increasing continuously; to accelerate milk processing and to introduce new products in the market and to increase handling capacity of the plant, milk/butter milk/products, by the use of machineries with well advanced technology, the expansion work in phase manners done in different departments. Details are in short as follows.

  • At Curd Department of Sumul Dairy Surat, new Continuous Single Line Linear Curd Cup Filling Machine capacity 9000 cups per hour for has been installed and operational so that the market requirement can be fulfilled on time.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, Order placed for Refrigeration Plant Expansion. In which the necessary civil works and machinery will be installed and put into operation in a short time. Through this expansion, milk processing capacity can be increased in future.
  • At Sumul Dairy Surat, 4800 per cup for packing Amul Probiotic Lassi in 180m1 plastic cups an order has been placed for purchase of rotary curd cup packing machine of hourly capacity. Amul Probiotic Lassi Packing Machine It will be installed and operational in short time.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of Sumul Dairy Surat Union, two machines have been installed and put into operation for packing table butter in 100 gm and 500 gm of Benhill Germany make. Which is packed in 100gm and 500gm table butter in Amul brand and supplied as per the requirement of the federation.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of Sumul Dairy Surat Union, according to the letter of Federation and PLI of Government of India. Under Scheme-2, the capacity of the ice cream plant has been increased from 50,000 liters to 1 lakh liters per day by installing necessary buildings and machinery. Through this expansion, the turnover of the ice cream plant can be increased.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an ordered has been placed to purchase necessary machinery for making wafer cones as per Federation's letter. Out of which two machineries have been installed and put into operation. The produced cones can be used and additional cones can be supplied to various union as per the requirement of the federation.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an Effluent Treatment Plant with a capacity of 15 lakh liters has been installed, and trials have commenced.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, a new parlour is soon to become operational. It will be situated on New Pardi Road with the aim of boosting the sale of Sumul products.
  • At Navi Pardi Dairy, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, the construction of a butter godown with a capacity of approximately 3,200 metric tons has been completed and is now operational.
  • At Bajipura Cattle Feed Factory, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an order has been placed for a third line of 4 mm pellets with a capacity of 25 MTPD diverted from line-2. In this regard, the necessary machinery will be installed and put into operation shortly. By which the market requirement can be delivered on time during the peak season.
  • In Surat-Tapi districts with BCU affiliated to Sumul Dairy Surat, among which 70 societies have been put into operation by installing roof top solar power systems from 6 kilowatts to 30 kilowatts as required. Also, it has been decided to proceed with technical scrutiny regarding installation of ground mounted solar power plant as per Solar Policy-2021 for Sumul Dairy Surat, Navi Pardi Dairy, THR Plant Chalthan and Sumul Dan Factory Bajipura.
  • At Lahe Plant, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an order has been placed for Refrigeration plant expansion and associated electrical, mechanical work. The machinery will be installed and operational shortly. Among which is work related to electrical has been completed and put into operation. Through this expansion, milk processing capacity can be increased in future.
  • At Lahe Plant, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an order has been placed for water softening plant with capacity of 30-meter cube per hour for water supply system. In this regard, the necessary machinery will be installed and put into operation shortly.
  • At Lahe Plant, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an order has been placed for Semi Total Automatic Three Circuit CIP Automation System Complete. And machinery of the automation system will be installed and operational. The quality of milk can be improved by installing this system.
  • At Lahe Plant, a part of the Sumul Dairy Surat Union, an order has been placed for construction of cold room and curd incubation room for storing milk and milk products. In this regard, the necessary machinery will be installed and put into operation shortly. Through which the market requirement can be delivered on time during the peak season.
